Wildwood has a passion for reaching out into the community and around the world in mission and service. In fact, each year when Wildwood celebrates her anniversary, we spend an entire Sunday in service in an event we call "Beyond the Walls."

Each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, people from throughout the community are served through the Family Assistance Ministry. In partnership with the Montgomery County Food Bank, we are able to distribute groceries to families who struggle for food. The Family Assistance Ministry also assists with prescriptions, utilities, and various other ways determined in cooperation between the director and those in need.

Check back often for more information about missions and outreach at Wildwood!

Coming on May 20, 2018

Beyond the Walls represents a Sunday that we as a church, serve our local community and internationally, as well. Locally, we have over 20 project sites to assist families with home repairs and maintenance, lawn maintenance, and flood recovery.

Other project sites include assembly of flood buckets on campus; visiting those in nursing homes for conversation and fellowship; individuals to provide spiritual and emotional care for those at sites who have experienced loss; the packaging of 40,000 meals in just 2 hours for the world-wide organization called "Rise Against Hunger." In addition, Compassion International is providing a booth for sponsoring a child in the Dominican Republic.
This is an amazing day to experience and a great opportunity for all ages to serve our community!

Anyone can volunteer!

There will be over 115,000 patients receiving cancer treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas in 2016. Average length of treatment for these patients is 60 days. The daily cost of accommodations near MD Anderson is $225.00. Over a 60 day period, one patient will rack up over $13,000.00 in expenses for accommodations alone, not to include the cost of treatment. Her Journey's sole mission is to provide free housing for these patients. For more information go to her-journey.org or contact Lori Salerno: This email address is being protected from spambots.
